I was super excited for this film. The trailer made it seem like a great horror movie that was going to be a twist on the fairy-tale Hansel and Gretel. It wasn't.
It was an awful film, probably one of the worst films I've ever seen. Although the two young actors were very good, the plot was pants. It was silly, odd and lacking it horror. The movie started off with tonnes of potential but it was wasted. It had a few minor jumps but nothing too scary like the trailer suggested, instead they were so predictable they had no effect.

In the trailer the grandma is shown making her granddaughter climb into an oven. This gave me the hope it was going to be fast paced however having seen the movie this scene was pointless other than to show the audience the grandmother was odd. It didn't give me as the viewer that fear for the character that is usually created in a good horror film.

I watched the film until the end but even that was a disappointment. It was gross and boring. To be honest, I was glad when it finally ended. The film makers could have done so much more with this movie. I would not recommend it to anyone.
