The Poltergeist- Film Review

I have watched the original Poltergeist so I was hoping this wasn't going to be a pointless, rubbish remake. Luckily, it wasn't. It was an amazing remake.

The cast were fabulous- they perfectly displayed their characters' personality and role in the story line without being cheesy at all. I enjoyed the added element of being able to see inside the other dimension where the poltergeists are, using modern technology.  It added a new depth to the movie that the original didn't have. Also, the CGI effects were fantastic. The spirits looked amazingly scary.

The plot was almost exactly the same as the original which meant the new twists were 100% unexpected thus making the film a good remake where you didn't already know everything that was going to happen. The ending was good, it made me chuckle which was good as previous scenes made me think a happy ending was going to be unlikely. Overall this was a fantastic film, I would highly recommend it.
