I haven't read any horror books since Point Horror as a child. This resulted in high expectations for Say Her Name by Juno Dawson. And boy! I was not disappointed. The plot was fantastic; full of twists, turns and plenty of frights. The ending was certainly not what I was expecting but was amazing none the less. As for characters, they are so well developed. Bobbie is so likable in the fact she tried so hard to blend in and go with the flow but inadvertently got herself in a terrifying mess. I was cheering her on the entire book, hoping it would all work out. Naya is shown to be an amazing friend to Bobbie despite egging her on the complete the dare. And for Caine, there is not much I can say except- can he be real? I feel Juno Dawson just created every young girls perfect boy in just one book. A pure magician. It was a superb telling of the well known urban legend Bloody Mary. But one thing is for sure, I won't be looking in any mirrors at midnight anytime soon.

I really want to read this! I've read another horror book by Juno Dawson, and I absolutely adored it. I have really high expectations - especially after reading your review!

I read this a little over a year ago and I sometimes still can't look in mirrors! It was so scary. She has another creepy book, Under My Skin, which has made me even more convinced to never get a tattoo haha.
